How can we help?
HOPPD scans a product’s barcode and says BUY, or shows up to three better picks on the same shelf: cheaper, healthier, or both. When a label’s facts are missing, it says Not sure yet and asks for a photo instead of guessing.

Email hello@gethoppd.com with the app version (in You), your iPhone model, what you expected and what happened. Do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive health information.
Barcode not found
- Hold the barcode steady in good light, or tap Type barcode and enter the digits under the bars.
- Loose items without a barcode, like treats sold by weight, are found with Search.
- HOPPD only knows the categories it covers so far. It shows the barcode rather than guess a match.
Label photos
Help others lists the products at your store that HOPPD can’t score yet. Photograph the back of the pack, where the analysis or nutrition panel is; HOPPD reads it within a few minutes. If the pack doesn’t print it, tap Not on pack. For treats sold by the piece, weigh one on a kitchen scale.
Camera
The camera scans barcodes on your iPhone and takes label photos when you choose to. HOPPD uses your location only to work out which store you’re in, and it never leaves your iPhone. Camera and location access can be changed in iPhone Settings under HOPPD.
Prices and product information
Prices are the shelf prices HOPPD last saw, specials included, and an older one says when it was seen. Prices, ingredients and pack sizes can change, so check the shelf and the package before buying. HOPPD provides general shopping help, not medical or nutritional advice.

Read the HOPPD Privacy Policy. HOPPD is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Coles, Woolworths, ALDI, Priceline, Chemist Warehouse or any other shop. Retailer names, product names and trademarks belong to their owners.
